THE PYRAMID PROJECT
a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization

Overview
This year’s HBCU Tour, will take place in March during Spring Break and will cover major universities and colleges in the South East United States of Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.
Our 6-day venture will provides students with invaluable outside classroom learning experience. We, at The Pyramid Project, host Annual Historically Black Colleges and University Tours (HBCU Tours) for selected youth to visit 10 prominent HBCUs and related historically significant landmarks.
This invaluable experience will, among other things, help:
-
cultivate youth imagination and motivate them for what's next after their high school years;
-
enable youth to further embrace their future;
-
promote the successful growth and development of youth into confident collegiate level students; and
-
prepare them for what lies ahead.
We focus on enriching the youth’s experience by exposing students to campus life, allowing them to gain firsthand knowledge about various majors or fields of interest, and emphasizing the value of pursuing an institution of higher learning and post-secondary education. Students have the opportunity to visit many of the top HBCUs such as:
-
Tougaloo College
-
Jackson State University
-
Mississippi Valley State University
-
Alcorn State University
-
Tuskegee University
-
Alabama A&M University
-
Spelman College
-
Morehouse College
